Inspiration

Living in Europe, precisely in France, I send money almost all the time to my mother in Africa. I used to use applications like Western Union or others to send money, but the sending costs are enormous and the recipient will have to go to an agency at some point to collect the money. So I thought of developing a mobile application that would allow sending money to Africa cheaply and quickly. In order to make it easier for those who send money like me to Africa and also to allow the recipient to receive the money automatically on his mobile money account (A fairly developed service in Africa.)

What it does

It is a mobile application that allows you to transfer money quickly and inexpensively. the recipient receives the money automatically in his account (mobile money).

How we built it

A flutter mobile application which calls mulesoft APIs is developed. Each API is designed, tested and deployed on cloudhub. In the middle we have mulesoft which allows the application to communicate with the backend.

Challenges we ran into

The challenge that I encountered is that at the base I am a mulesoft developer. I make mobile apps just for fun. So I had to go deeper into mobile app development in order to better design my application in flutter. Also on mulesoft, I encountered quite a few network problems. IP address and certificate configurations.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I'm happy to have started this project thanks to this hackathon, because it's been a long time since I nurtured this idea and I needed a push to start the development. I also managed to get started with Flutter which is a very popular framework at this moment.

What we learned

Flutter and Mulesoft network config.

What's next for KAN MONEY

The next step for KanMoney is to continue developing the mobile interface as well as the APIs and the backend interface, then launch this startup which for me will make life easier for many people like me. I would like to be able to continue using Mulesoft Platform for the development and deployment of my APIs, because for me it would be ideal to be able to launch this startup. It will be simpler and will allow me to go faster in the development and also to manage my APIs in production easily.
