Inspiration
This was my first-ever hackathon and I wanted to build/design an e-commerce application using JavaScript. Learning to design and develop applications was my inspiration.
What it does
This is a fictional application that sells speakers in the local area.
How we built it
I used Figma to design the mobile screens and create the prototype. For development, I used vanilla technologies HTML, CSS, and JS.
Challenges we ran into
Learning media queries to make the website responsive was a challenge. There were some bugs that I was not able to solve on my own but the nwHacks mentors helped me out.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I am proud of the design prototype I made during the hackathon. I was not able to spend much time coding the website but I picked up many design skills.
What we learned
I learned to prototype using Figma, and CSS media queries, working with fonts, and CSS variables.
What's next for kalsiSpeakers
Currently, I have the mobile design of the application. I will expand this design to desktop screens and then build the whole front end using React.js after I learn it.
