Inspiration
I always admired handmade pottery, but noticed that many local artists struggle to showcase their work online. At the same time, buyers often can’t find authentic, unique pottery easily. This inspired me to create a simple Online Pottery Marketplace where artists and customers can connect directly.
What it does
The website allows: Artists to showcase and list their pottery creations. Customers to browse, explore, and purchase pottery easily. Responsive design works on both desktop and mobile. Smooth navigation between Home, Artists, Blog, and Contact sections.
How we built it
frontend : HTML, CSS, JavaScript for structure, styling, and interactivity. Dynamic features : smooth navigation, image handling, and section linking.
Challenges we ran into
Making the layout responsive for different screen sizes. Ensuring all product images looked uniform. Linking navigation (like “Contact” in header) directly to sections on the same page.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Built a complete, functional website from scratch. Created a clean, minimal design that feels welcoming. Learned how to host and share the project on GitHub.
What we learned
Importance of responsive web design. Using GitHub for version control and deployment. How to make static sites feel more dynamic and interactive.
