Most fatal hiking accidents such as hypothermia or extreme fatigue don't happen because the mountain suddenly changed; they happen due to poor planning before the hike even begins. Beginners often show up entirely unprepared for actual trail conditions. KakiDaki solves this by shifting the safety decision to the pre-hike phase, acting as an early warning system. It is a smart planner that gives hikers a clear, non-negotiable GO or NO-GO decision before they ever leave home. By synthesizing real-time weather (Open-Meteo), objective fitness data (Google Fit API), health profiles, and community intel, our deterministic NestJS backend calculates a comprehensive Readiness Score. It features a "Red Flag Override" that automatically triggers a NO-GO for extreme risks, like incoming storms, regardless of other scores. Finally, we utilize the Gemini API to translate these hard metrics into personalized, empathetic explanations, ensuring that hikers understand exactly why they should or shouldn't proceed with their climb.
