Inspiration

We were inspired by the everyday struggle of deciding what to wear, a problem that affects confidence and takes up valuable time. Realizing how common this issue is, we wanted to create a simple and smart solution.

What it does

Kaia generates outfit recommendations using the clothes users already own. It tailors each outfit to the user’s aesthetic, the weather, the occasion, or their mood.

How we built it

We built Kaia using a lightweight full-stack setup with AI prompt engineering, wardrobe image processing, and a clean feminine UI created in Figma and Vue.js. Our focus was on delivering the essential features that provide the most value.

Challenges we ran into

Creating a prompt that produced realistic outfits from user-uploaded clothing was harder than expected. Making the AI both practical and aesthetic while working under time pressure was a major challenge.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud that we created a working full-stack prototype in such a short time and achieved smooth integration between the design, backend, and AI. Delivering a polished experience during a hackathon felt like a significant accomplishment.

What we learned

We learned how important well-structured prompts are for consistent AI behavior. We also learned how to collaborate quickly while keeping a unified aesthetic and user experience.

What's next for Kaia

We plan to add features such as partner outfit matching, an AI smart mirror, and deeper personalization. Our goal is for Kaia to grow into a reliable daily fashion assistant following current trends and available across multiple devices.
