Inspiration

Our artist was primarily inspired by a manga series called "The Ghost in the Shell", as well as the video game Awaria. The story was originally inspired by the growing use of AI in big corporate spaces and how that reflects on individual workers.

It's a game, not an app. I serves entertainment and storytelling purposes.

How we built it

We used Godot 4.3 game engine for our programming and scene building and Clip Studio Paint for our game assets and animations.

Challenges we ran into

While we were building the collectible box system in our game, we ran into a few problems, such as that boxes would refuse to be cleared from memory.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are the most proud of our game and story concept, art direction excellent teamwork.

What we learned

We tried our best to step out of our comfort zones and learn more about areas we weren't used to working in.

What's next for K.A.I.

We would like to flash out the story more and release the game as a short story-driven game on online platforms, if not develop it into a larger project.
