Inspiration

Social manipulations works great on community marketplaces like Kijiji... but it's not efficient enough.

What it does

Locate your favourite listing. KaGG gets you the best price with... questionable techniques.

1. We lowball the seller, with many accounts
2. Not working? We'll create a cheaper listing of the same item
3. We convince the seller that their listing is too expensive
4. We find a "middle-ground" to give the seller a "good deal"
5. ...Profit :D

How we built it

(With the help of Devin and Claude...) We use a system of agents with steel.dev to interface with Kijiji to fetch prices, negotiate with sellers, and create new listings. We have 4 automated agents:

• Bobby Hankerchief: Makes fake listings of the same item
• Hector Hernandaz: Unserious and wants a sweet deal.... Lowballer #1
• Laura Hing: Kindhearted elderly lady wanting a deal... Lowballer #2
• Matty Choi: Uses Bobby's listing to manipulate the seller...

i.e.: Matty: "I found this listing that was $20, but since you're closer I'm okay with $25 for this"

Challenges we ran into

Kijiji hates bots... duh... Steel.dev helps us bypass this, but we had to create so many accounts...
