We are inspired by the story of people who have been raped, assaulted and harassed in their life. The people who decided to bear the pain inside and shut their mouth because they didn't want to loose their job, they didn't want consequences and they didn't want further assault.

What it does

It allows victims to report any type of assaults online without going to police and the painful process of the justice system. This platform enables the victims to find aliases to report the perpetrator which potentially increases the chance of success at the courtroom. It also meant to connect immigrants in detention centers with attorneys. This platform demonstrates assault rate analysis on heat map which eventually allows companies, organizations and business owners to provide training to enhance the environment and enhance the society in overall.

How I built it

We developed a web application as well as mobile applications using the cross platform technologies such as, google place APIs, php, mysql, bootstrap and jQuery.

Challenges I ran into

System design was the biggest challenge we ran into. We had difficulties looking at this platform from different aspects such as victims, lawyers and perpetrators/assault makers.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

We tried new technology which is for cross platform mobile application development.

What I learned

We learned how to develop one system and utilize it for multiple platforms.

What's next for JustThis

we would like to enhance this system with more functionalities which would eventually allow majority of law firms to operate online and most importantly we want to incorporate machine learning, image processing and NLP technologies to achieve higher accuracy and efficiency to detect potential criminals.
