Inspiration
High school students often struggle with staying consistent in their studies and maintaining motivation. We wanted to create a simple, accessible tool that could help them track daily goals, stay focused, and feel encouraged—without needing to download heavy apps or learn complex tools.
What it does
Inspired by productivity apps and motivational platforms, we built StudyBoost, a no-code daily study tracker with motivational quotes—ideal for students who want a clean, lightweight experience that boosts consistency.
How we built it
First, we created a structured Google Sheet with three tabs: Tasks, Quotes, and Users
Then we connected the spreadsheet to Glide Apps, a no-code platform that converts spreadsheets into mobile-ready apps
We used components like Checklist, Form Button, and List/Card View to make the UI interactive
We added logic to track task completion, show motivational quotes, and maintain streaks
Finally, we polished the design with colors, emojis, and mobile responsiveness for a clean experience
Challenges we ran into
Designing a task tracker that works well with minimal backend logic
Managing streaks with no traditional backend or user sessions (we used Glide logic instead)
Making the UI intuitive for first-time users, especially younger students
Balancing features with simplicity to avoid overloading the app

How to build a real app using no-code tools like Glide and Google Sheets
How to structure data for user interactions (task tracking, quote display, streak management)
