Inspiration

Social Justice is a widely debated topic, but not all people really understand what it is. That's why I decided to create JusticeRealm, a website that provides all sorts of resources for whoever needs it. Games, blog posts, and a chatroom can all help users understand what Social Justice is.

What it does

This webpage has a lot of resources. It has a game for younger learners to play, as well as blog posts.

How we built it

Everything was mostly HTML, but the game was built with Scratch and converted to HTML.

Challenges we ran into

The website portion of this project was based off of Bootstrap, but for whatever reason, it kept acting up and not loading in the third-party scripts. After some toying around with the configuration, it finally worked. Also, I was unable to test my original deployment because github.io links are still blocked, so I had to port it over to vercel.app.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

I'm proud of the overall design of the website, because even though Bootstrap made it easier to put together, it was far from simple. Also, getting the deployments set up through GitHub was not easy either, because it required reconfiguration to vercel.app.

What we learned

I definitely gained a lot more experience HTML in general, especially with Bootstrap. I tried out things I haven't tried before, such as navbars and circulating images.

What's next for JusticeRealm

There is a lot of potential for the expansion of this website. Even though I only had a few hours, I was able to put together the entire structure of the website, meaning more games, blog posts, and other things can be added in the future.
