🌱 Inspiration

We started with a simple but powerful thought:
What if everyone, no matter where they live or what language they speak, had access to legal help — instantly and freely?

Across the world, millions struggle to understand their rights. Legal systems are often too complex, too expensive, and frankly, intimidating. We’ve seen family members sign things they didn’t understand. Friends afraid to stand up for themselves because they didn’t know how.

So, we built JusticeGPT — a project to bridge that gap, powered by AI, but driven by humanity.

🤖 What it does

JusticeGPT is your personal AI legal assistant. It helps you:

  • Understand complex legal documents in plain language
  • Get legal advice tailored to your country and situation
  • Generate official letters and complaints
  • Talk to a real-time voice & video AI lawyer in your language
  • Even notarize documents on blockchain (if needed!)

It’s like having a calm, helpful lawyer in your pocket — available anytime, anywhere.

🛠️ How we built it

We used Bolt.new as our core builder to keep things fast, scalable, and beginner-friendly.

We integrated:

  • Tavus for conversational AI video (your virtual lawyer)
  • ElevenLabs to let users talk to the app with their voice
  • Supabase for secure user data and authentication
  • RevenueCat to manage subscriptions for premium features
  • Algorand for blockchain-based notarization
  • Entri to secure a custom domain
  • Netlify to deploy it smoothly across the world

We started with support for five countries and are planning to expand rapidly.

⚠️ Challenges we ran into

Legal systems are not easy to understand or standardize — even for AI.
One big challenge was training the AI to give region-specific advice without giving misleading answers. Another challenge? Making it trustworthy and kind — not just technically accurate.

We also spent time getting the voice + video features to feel natural, not robotic. It took a lot of trial, error, and long debugging nights.

🏆 Accomplishments that we're proud of

We’re proud that JusticeGPT actually works — it understands, it explains, it empowers.
Seeing the first test user smile after the app explained a confusing contract to them — that was everything.

We’re also proud we integrated almost every challenge prize tool while still staying focused on impact.

📚 What we learned

We learned that building something meaningful doesn’t require thousands of lines of code — just the right tools, the right team, and a real problem to solve.
We learned about global law, about AI prompt design, about product design — but most importantly, we learned that people want help. And AI can deliver it, with the right care.

🚀 What's next for JusticeGPT

We want to:

  • Add support for 50+ countries and languages
  • Partner with NGOs and legal aid groups to reach rural & underserved communities
  • Create a community forum where people can share legal tips and stories
  • Release a mobile app version for true global reach

JusticeGPT isn’t just a project — it’s the beginning of something bigger.
A world where no one is powerless just because they can’t afford a lawyer.
