Inspiration
We want to make the process of clients finding lawyers, and lawyers case management more efficient.
What it does
The platform allows lawyers to offload the initial information gathering before any consultations through a detailed questionnaire that clients fill in. Through the initial information gathering, the system decides if the case requires assistance from actual lawyers, or if existing standard operating procedures and resources are sufficient to address the legal issues.
If actual lawyers are required, the system filters the bank of lawyers to match suitable lawyers that can provide necessary legal assistance. The client is then able to book a meeting with their desired lawyer. If actual lawyers are not required, then the system redirects the client to online resources and forms that can address their needs.
How I built it
This project is built with Angular.
Challenges I ran into
One challenge was the amount of research required to understand the various components of cases related to different issues, and how various issues require specific skillsets among lawyers in order to match the correct lawyers.
Accomplishments that I'm proud of
Delivering a high fidelity mock up and a physical prototype to showcase the proposed core functionalities.
What I learned
We learnt about the multitude of legal issues that could be resolved through existing online resources without the interference of lawyers. Through the efficient segregation of such cases, we can better manage the time of lawyers and clients.
What's next for Justice Ligue
Using natural language processing and machine learning to analyse the inputs of users in order to generate suitable recommendations and classifying the cases.
