Inspiration
Volunteering is a good way to spend your time while helping a cause, but sometimes it can be difficult to contact other volunteers and find an opportunity that suits you. That's why we created Just4People, the platform that makes that process as easy as possible.
What it does
The steps are simple:
- Enter the platform
- Go to the search page
- Choose filters for what you're looking for.
- Read more about an organisation and join their team.
How we built it
The technical design is a combination of manual and automatic steps. We collaborate with volunteering organisations and insert an entry in our database with all the required fields. Then we use the database to automatically select what organisations to show based on the users' filters.
Challenges we ran into
It's not about what challenges we've solved, but the ones coming next. In the near future we will try to collaborate with as many organisations as possible in order to improve the user experience in finding good volunteering opportunities.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We're proud of being able to help people connect and the fact that we already have a well thought plan on how to do it is making us enthusiastic about the future.
What we learned
Collaborating and brainstorming was an excellent experience for the Just4People team and we will continue to work together to find solutions for society's problems.
What's next for Just4People
We will continue to work towards launching the final product and having enough volunteering choices to satisfy the users.
