The idea behind "Just Trippin" is to let budget minded users travel to new places. Living in San Francisco, we are close to a number of large airports. In the same amount of time it takes to drive to Tahoe or Yosemite we could fly half way across the country. Our is play on words since many people find it a little crazy to just pick up and take a trip to a random destination.

What it does

Users enter the amount of money they are willing to spend and a general region. They are given a list of available flights that fit within their budget.

How we built it

We built it using Ruby on Rails. We used the Expedia API to get flight information.

Challenges we ran into

Due to the API restrictions we are only able to search 6 airports at a time. Because of this, we divided the US into regions for the user to choose and then we hardcoded 6 major airports in that region.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are proud of coming together and being able to focus on a project as a team.

What we learned

We learned that nothing is as simple as it seems!
