Inspiration
COVID-19 has left many struggling with the motivation to overcome social isolation in the post-lockdown period.
What it does
With #Just Parkville Pings, you don't need to plan in advance - we know how difficult it can be to keep up with social life. Simply click on a pin and make your way there, or filter based on your interests.
How we built it
We used HMTL and CSS for the front-end, Flask and MySQL for the backend and drank coffee.
Challenges we ran into
We have not had much hands-on experience and did not know much about HTML, Flask and MySQL. The coffee from vending machines also didn't taste good.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We crammed a lot of HTML and managed to create a beautiful web interface. We also managed to push data from the frontend to the backend and vice versa, as well as successfully created the filter function.
What we learned
We learnt a lot about HTML, Flask and MySQL.
