Inspiration
- Games such as Doodle Jump, Poptropica
- "Western" media such as Rango
- Grand Canyon for the background of the game ## What it does
- Just in Time is a game where the player is a cowboy lizard trying to escape a flooding canyon while evading enemies. ## How we built it
- Code written in GameMaker Studio
- Assets drawn in Pixilart, Piskel, Procreate, Clip Studio Paint, PineTools, and Aseprite ## Challenges we ran into
- Version control was challenging with GameMaker Studio (commits kept overriding local changes)
- Several members of the team had never used GameMaker Studio before and had to learn the tools while working ## Accomplishments that we're proud of
- All our assets were finished within the 24 hours and look great!
- No AI was used in the project at all! ## What we learned
- Spend extra time setting up version control to ensure everyone's workspaces are synced ## What's next for Just in Time
- Add more levels!
- Add more enemy variation
- Introduce new player movement for more variety in game play
- Add indicator for when player gets hit
