Inspiration
We wanted to explore hardware since none of us have any experience with hardware projects.
What it does
Our project uses Leap Motion to detect gestures to control an Arduino to turn on and off LED lights.
How we built it
We used Cylon, a Javascript framework to receive input from the Leap Motion and send instructions to the Arduino.
Challenges we ran into
Our main challenge was getting set up and figuring out what hardware we needed. Prior to this experience we didn't even know what jumpers even were!
Accomplishments that we're proud of and what we learned
We are proud of learning some basic circuits and using this knowledge to add another LED light.
What's next for Just Hands
Some potential applications to more real-world scenarios are turning on/off devices without having to physically touch a switch.
