jus[t]ask

Inspiration

Since INRIX is mainly a B2B business, we decided to have a B2C tilt to our project. Seeing that traffic is an ever lasting issue, we decided to work around traffic and our solution is jus[t]ask. Jus[t]ask is a time-effective task planning and social bonding platform designed for individuals who value every minute of their life, want to save time on commuting and make some friends along the way.

What it does

With jus[t]ask, you are able to make a calendar entry for all your task and indicate your availabilities. From here, jus[t]ask takes it off your hands and designs the best possible schedule that provides the most time savings using the power of INRIX /fastestTravel API. Additionally, jus[t]ask tracks the schedules of users and utilizing the power of machine learning and Gale-Shapley Algorithm, allows the users to bond over similar commute times to similar locations through matching messages that are anonymized.

Worked on the algorithm, that figured out the best time of day to do your task, while not overlapping with your schedule, based on INRIX traffic data.
Also contributed to the internal API used by the front end to call the back end, which would send events throughout your day, and the task that the user wanted to add, and would return the best time to do that task.
