Jungle Jamz: Race & Parkour Adventure

Jungle Jamz is a thrilling parkour race where players create music as they leap through jungle obstacles, compete for high score, enjoy mini-games, and explore endless rhythmic adventures!

Inspiration - I wanted to make a game that is based off what I love, which is Music, & A a jumping, obstacle course. Because that is one of my favorite games to play on mobile. And the Jungle theme came from a Jungle stage i worked on for a concert, i held in the past. Jungle Jamz is far past my expectations. Not to mention the movie BIG.

What it does - it is an Race and Parkour Adventure Game. All you have to do is collect 50 or more music notes, and get the highest score & you Win. Great for upto 15 players perfect party game.

How I built it - in Meta Horizon in trimesh a 3d model world. And a simple points script for collecting the music notes. With a leaderboard. & some mini games like playing drums, and Music Shot, As well as riding a boat on the Blue Note River.

Challenges I ran into - the pose (seat) was not working, the world kept kicking me out for like 2 weeks straight while in build mode, and world hopping, from all the updates. The respawn script for players gave me a hard time.

Accomplishments that I am proud of - This is my first parkour game, my first trimesh world, my first game, that is actually a real game for the headset, and mobile app. I am very proud of myself, because when I first started in Meta Horizon back in November 2021, I did not know how to build or script. I love this community, because my peers & Meta taught me how to be the creator I am today.

What have I learned - ALOT!!! But for real, I have learned how to script, and import & export 3d models, I also learned how to turn my obstacle course into a game.

What's next for Jungle Jamz - The future of Jungle Jamz is packed with excitement! Upcoming updates include new jungle courses, additional musical instruments for unique sounds, competitive online leaderboards, and co-op challenges. Players can look forward to expanded mini-games, custom character options, and themed events that keep the adventure fresh and engaging.
