Inspiration
We Were inspiered largely by similar Vertically scrolling platformers, these being Doodle Jump and Jump King.
What it does
The Game offers a basic vertical platformer to the user with a decent level of challenge, it has full movement mechanics and multiple paths can be taken making the level replayable (Despite Some Red Herrings). The game is Simplistic but offers a fun experience.
How we built it
We built the game using Unity For the engine and mspaint / pixelart.com for our textures.
Challenges we ran into
We are all complete beginners to the field of game development and as such we found scripting and using the Unity library functions to be a challenge.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are very proud that despite our complete inexperience we have managed to get movement mechanics, collisions and animations functional in our final game. Although we did find it a challenge to develop we are happy with what we produced and we wish to continue with it in the near future.
What we learned
We have all learned some basics in Unity in particular the C# scripting and the usage of the unity library functions as well as some pixel art to develop some of our textures.
What's next for Jump Game
Hopefully an End Screen will be the next Thing we Develop rather than just dropping down and starting again.
