Inspiration
I wanted to play a cool game. And I also saw Riot Games sponsoring the Event. So I remember playing Valorant with friends some time ago and lwk It was scary at times because they be screaming and I can't here the enemies pushing. So I wanted to create the same chaotic experience of playing with friends as I feel they sometimes sabotage the team and are worse than fighting the enemy themselves. Regardless of how well our gameplay goes, I have fun each time. To recreate that we made a game with horror elements with ideas from Left for Dead .
What it does
It for now has a one level Demo of the game. The level is based on a abandon military bunker environment that is filled with zombies that might have been made from experiments or just because
How we built it
We grinded on youtube tutorials and vibe code a bit as even the AI models of Google and Claude struggled with us
Challenges we ran into
The Challenges we ran to was just about everything. I had no Wi-fi for 6-7 hours as the HACKMESA team worked on fixing it. We had to learn the LUA code language for Roblox studio and the game engine itself. So all the experience of other code that I knew, only the concepts transferred not the syntax knowledge. Definitely the WI-fi being broken was the biggest wall in this event.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
I am proud of the Team learning all of this within a less than 14 hours of actually working on it since WI-FI was broken and that we went to sleep.
What we learned
We learned that this is very fun, the challenges we faced made our game very jaky but overall a very fun experience to both create and playtest
What's next for JumP And SCREAM
More than likely not continue with the existing Project but rather a cleaner project as we want to better the Environments and functionality's
