Inspiration

Have you ever wondered how much sensitive data your company is unknowingly storing? Meet FileGuard, a file crawler system designed to safeguard your organization by automatically detecting and securing sensitive data. Leveraging AWS Glue Studio, our solution takes the guesswork out of data compliance and puts control back in your hands.

Organizations store vast amounts of unstructured and structured data across various platforms. Manually identifying and protecting sensitive data is tedious, error-prone, and nearly impossible at scale. Regulatory fines and reputational damage for data breaches are increasing.

What it does

FileGuard will automatically crawl through your entire data storage—local, cloud, you name it—and identify sensitive data using state-of-the-art detection algorithms. Think of it as a 24/7 security guard, but for your files.

How we built it

We used Python :D

Challenges we ran into

At first we had no one that could write Python. But we found a guy that helped us from some other team and with some tutorials we did finished the natural language processing.

That we can stay up so late :)

What we learned

There needs to be a girl/guy in every team, that speaks the language needed.

We do NOT think, that this will be used in the bank at all, nor in any other bank, but we liked the process a lot and made friends along the way.
