Jukebox

In the hopes to assist students to become more productive we designed this web app of playlists to listen to while they engage in enriching activities.

We knew how beneficial it can be to listen to the RIGHT type of music while working and we want to spread this light.

Our web app curates a playlist of music best suited for each one of the activities. Based on the danceability and energy levels of the song, we divided the music into playlists.

Using web programming tools as well as the Spotify API

Our original plan was to use the Apple Music API but the idea was shot down because it was not free to implement.

Not only were we able to complete making this app. We learned how to do so many new things.

We hope to take Jukebox into the future by making it a useful chrome extension that can run in the background even when the tab is closed.
