Inspiration
I wanted to create a simple, colorful browser game that is easy to understand and fun to replay. Fruit-merging games inspired the idea for Juicy Drop: Orchard Rush.
What it does
Juicy Drop: Orchard Rush is a casual fruit-merging game. Players drop fruits, combine matching fruits to create larger ones, and try to achieve a higher score. The game ends when the fruit space becomes too crowded.
How I built it
The game was created as a lightweight browser game using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. These technologies handle the game layout, visual design, and gameplay logic.
Challenges I faced
One of the main challenges was making the fruit-dropping and merging mechanics easy to understand while keeping the game enjoyable. Creating a simple interface that works in a browser was also an important part of the project.
What I learned
This project helped me explore browser-game development, basic game logic, user interface design, and how HTML, CSS, and JavaScript can work together to create an interactive experience.
What's next
I would like to improve the game with smoother animations, more visual effects, better mobile controls, and additional gameplay features.
