More than once I've walked past a homeless person and I didn't know what I could do to help. Now I can do something.
The app gives homeless people access to resources and gives them digestible step-by-step information on how to reach financial and housing goals, while also connecting them with people and places that could physically help.
Supabase backend, Netlify hosting, Gemini API, Claude Functions, Framer Frontend, Vapi calling.
Our first idea didn't abide by the track so we had to restart from zero 2 hours in. We got up and running and did well from there.
Able to bounce back after first rejection. Made a unique idea that combines multiple pre-existing ideas that weren't executed well.
We learned more about the challenges homeless people face. The calls stopped working and we had to redo the landing page and ui a bunch. Tons of glitches in the map but all fixed.
We added new features that haven't been seen in other apps in the same field. We also combined ideas from outdated apps into one, I'm happy with all the integration. I also really like the AI calling agent and the agent that scans availability and helps you book.
We can scale by providing our product to different counties, especially ones with lots of unhoused people and high poverty rates. We can also use our software to make connections between shelters. We can also integrate our app into public libraries to make out product accessible to all.
