JudgeTruly

Inspiration

We know that Discord calls can get a bit unruly at times so we wanted to build something that can build off of that unruliness.

What it does

JudgeTruly acts as a judge and takes in arguments from a plaintiff and a defendant. GPT3.5 is the brain behind JudgeTruly and will decide if the defendant is guilty or not guilty based on the arguments presented from both sides.

How we built it

We used the Discord and OpenAI Python libraries to build the bot. The accompanying website is built with React.

Challenges we ran into

JudgeTruly at one point refused to listen to the defendant, continually asking for more evidence from the plaintiff.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We're glad that it works.

What we learned

This is the first time making a Discord bot so it was eye opening to see how much work goes into some of the bots we use all the time.

What's next for JudgeTruly

More features! We'll get our friends to try out the bot and give us ideas for more commands.
