Inspiration
Our inspirations for are this project are dystopian games and TV shows that show the consequences of replacing government roles with AI in the future. This includes Cyberpunk 2077 and Black Mirror. The gameplay is inspired on deskjob simulation games like Papers, Please.
What it does
Our game presents the player with a prisoner, their background information, and the prisoner's testimony. The player is given the role of a parole board, and they have to decide if the prisoner is released, condemned, or harvested. When the prisoner is released, their sentence ends early. When the prisoner is condemed, the prisoner has to serve the rest of their sentence out. If the prisoner is harvested, they are put into death row and getting their organs harvested. The player's decisions are then compared to the AI parole board's decisions.
How we built it
We built the prisoner bios' using python, langchain, and genini.
Challenges we ran into
We faced issues when trying to connect the frontend and the backend. This is due to how large the files were for the frontend and the backend.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of our UI and the prisoner audio and in the bios.
What we learned
We learned how to operate Mongodb.
What's next for Judex AI
The next step for Judex AI is to add animations and cutscenes.
