Inspiration

I've been testing the potential for Forge a bit, but it's nice to see a large community here that are enthusiastic about the development of the eco-system on Atlassian platform.

What it does

Sources local weather into a dashboard gadget by reaching out to an external API.

How we built it

Followed the Forge tutorial, but there are still definitely a few kinks to work out yourself, so you're always learning.

Challenges we ran into

Our Forge and nodejs versions were a little out-of-date and causing some errors, so needed get those up to scratch at the start.

There tutorial encourages you to learn some of key Forge concepts in JavaScript, resolvers and the bridge are important to understand fully.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Nice to be able to work through my own bugs and get them worked out.

What we learned

SOO much potential in here, especially with the new teamwork graph.
