We wanted to help people undertand the most basic rules of driving a motor land vehicle.
Our prototype aims to offer a variety of options to drive a digital car.
The build is based on Unity 5.0. We started this project with close to none experience in game development.
The biggest challenge was making a consistent set of physics for the vehicle and a link between an Android device and a computer for the steering wheel controls.
In this project, we learned to use Unity, alongside its Android compatibility tools.
We're planning on building a proper simulation station using life-like peripherals, like a steering wheel and pedals, regardless of our success or failure in this Hackathon. If, on the other hand, we win, we might start taking the project on a more serious approach.
