Inspiration

I'm an avid reader and I try to finish at least one book each week. However, I often struggle to find the books I'm looking for, and they can be very expensive. I came up with the idea for this app to solve this problem. 📚

What it does

This project came from noticing how many people around the world have valuable books sitting unused on their shelves while others are searching for those exact titles. I wanted to create a global solution where readers could easily buy, sell, and exchange books with one another . 🌍

How we built it

I started by sketching the core idea: a mobile app that allows users to search, buy, and sell books worldwide. I designed the app interface to be simple and intuitive, focusing on three main functions: search, sell, and profile management. To visualize the concept, I created a realistic mockup that shows how the app would look and function in practice.

Challenges we ran into

Some of the main challenges were:

• Ensuring the design looked professional and appealing while remaining easy to navigate.
• Thinking through global logistics, such as connecting buyers and sellers across different countries
• Balancing the marketplace features (like search and filters) with simplicity, so the app doesn’t feel overwhelming.
