Inspiration

What inspired me was the NRVE project.

What it does

For how I far I got with it, it generates advice or just some basic responses to some input you give it, the goal was to make it format what you output, and the AI's response into a little journal article you could keep, almost like a diary.

How we built it

I used flet in Python 3.11.4 for the similar architecture it has with other frameworks I've worked with, I also used transformers as well.

Challenges we ran into

A big challenge I ran into was getting the proper outputs, and even then sometimes it'll have issues with that it just depends.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Getting some sort of an application done for my first hackathon is a nice thing.

What we learned

I learned about transformers in general and also some OpenCV from one of the workshops.

What's next for jour-bud

To learn more about AI and NLP to improve the model and hopefully make it better, also make plugins that work with other apps.
