Inspiration

Joud Escape was born from the desire to make English learning immersive and fun for young learners. We wanted to build an experience where players discover vocabulary by exploring realistic and interactive environments, rather than learning through traditional exercises.

What it does

Joud Escape is an immersive world in Meta Horizon Worlds where players explore different environments (schools, shops, etc.). At each location they visit, they discover lists of English words with their translations. Learning happens naturally and contextually as they explore the world.

How we built it

We built Joud Escape using Horizon Worlds tools, building detailed and engaging environments. Each zone was designed to provide educational context while being visually appealing for players. The vocabulary lists are integrated intuitively within the environments.

Challenges we ran into

The main challenge was building a realistic and performant world within Horizon Worlds' technical constraints.
