Finding out that most programmers at my school with marketable coding and work think it is to complicated to promote their skills. So I decided that it was time to help them get promoted and expose them to more professional networks.

What it does

Win state champs? Put your first app on the app store? Great score on ACT? Jotty is the place for students and teens to write down their milestones, and effectively build their personal brand.

How I built it

I built it in Xcode for iOS 9 and Swift 2.0. You can use it on any iOS device because it users Firebase as its backend to sync all information in realtime across the world!

Challenges I ran into

I had a lot of challenges in dealing with pulling and pushing data to my Firebase backend... but that helped make this hackathon a lot more fun. I learned a lot now, I will definitely be using it in the near future.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I am proud on how I was able to pull this application off by myself in less than 36 hours. I am also proud of how I learned a lot of new Swift 2.0 concepts and especially the fundamentals of Firebase.

What I learned

I learned an extreme amount of development as I stated before, but one thing that I learned the most was design and planning a large scale application. Really a great experience.

What's next for Jotty

Talking to my school about it to maybe use it as a student application and also fix some minor bug errors.
