Inspiration

The inspiration came from the current meta of memes creating a lot of excitement in the web3 space. There are not a lot of opportunities for people who are not developers/engineers to make these type of tokens. As a result, we see a lot of creative artist who never get into the space or rely on outside parties to handle the "complicated" part like starting their own token.

What it does

I present to you Jooey, the launch pad for SIP010 fungible tokens in STX. With Jooey, you no longer have to learn clarity or any code. Just fill out the form, pay a transaction/service fee, and your token is launched!

How we built it

We built this using nextjs, tailwind, and stacks js library

Challenges we ran into

Adapting the contract for front end usage was difficult. I also was unfamiliar with clarity so learning about post conditions and parsing the arguments for the input fields have been difficult. Ideally I would like this app to go beyond just a launch pad and make it easier for users to perform functions on the app (transfer, set token uri, etc)

Accomplishments that we're proud of

Building a aesthetic ui for the user to easily create tokens. We did not have to connect with a clarity file at all to make this. My hope is that we lowered the barrier to entry for people new to STX.

What we learned

I learned a lot about post conditions although they are still a bit unclear to me at times when to use what. Authenticate was super quick and easy to learn initially but required a bit of infra to make it reusable across multiple pages of the app.

What's next for Jooey: No Code Launch Pad

Again I want this to be one stop shop for people to launch their tokens. On top of making it easier for the contract owners to run their clarity functions, I want to eventually make it a marketplace where people can highlight their tokens. Eventually I would like Jooey to become the product hunt for SIP010.
