What problem are we trying to solve?
Every invoice financed by Billie goes through a great deal of stages in different systems such as paella , borscht or ledger. Human readability of this is very complicated and requires extensive database skills and understanding of the microsystems. This could be greatly improved by a visual representation and more natural language.
Ideas
Given an order uuid this slack bot will return a timeline plot of the order journey in our payment system.
For example: 01 jan 2022 8:00 --> order accepted and created, 01 jan 2022 8:10 --> payment request created, 01 jan 2022 8:15 --> ownership changed from billie to investor, . .
Who are we solving it for?
This bot will be especially useful for the onboarding of new joiners as our system is complicated and a lot things are happening in the background.
This system will also help people from the business side understand what is going on in the backend (f.ex. finance, sales, riskops). It could also help legal better understand / check invoice ownership and other contractual things.
It could also be useful for end to end testing in between systems in the future.
