Inspiration

One of our biggest inspiration is our home, Indonesia. Indonesia contributes the second most waste in the world. As a citizen and an active Indonesian student, we are really sad about the fact that our country environment are dying day by day because of this. It is even sadder that all of us contributed to it eventhough we can do it. And so then on, we are inspired to make a meaningful project for us, our country and our loved ones. We as the young generations should be more aware of our nature and take care of it, rather than taking it for granted. Moreover, the indonesian government has the target of decreasing the waste by 30% by 2025. We hope our app is able to help the government to achieve this target.

What it does

Jogo is a platform that encourages Indonesian citizens to be more aware of its nature and its waste by buying recycled products and eco friendly products, educate citizens about the danger of waste especially plastic, enable people to easily donate plastic waste or money that is going to be used to plant trees. We are hoping that by enabling people to donate plastic, they could be more aware of what they can do, for instance, separating their home waste into organic and non-organic waste. Moreover, we would also support recyclers' small business and thrift shops owners because we believe that the more they grew, means that the more people are aware of the nature and would contribute less and less non-organic waste.

How we built it

We built the application with pure HTML, CSS and JavaScript.

Challenges we ran into

We did not ran into any challenges upon creating this project. This project was fun and it went pretty smooth.

Accomplishments that we're proud of

We are new to hackathons and we are proud of completing this hackathon.

What we learned

Although it is not perfect we hope that our ideas can help to improve the sustainability and even help recyclers biznizes to grow. We sincerly hope for the world to be better than now and healthier than ever. We learn a lot of things from team work, competition, friendship, world knowledge and so many other stuff.

We had a really meaningful experiences during our competition in garuda hacks. We would like to thank all the committee judges and partners that make this event hapens so we can participate in it as well. As the first time us three as group together for a hackaton, we had a lot of shortcomings and are still lacking a lot but we will keep on going strong to improve. We would appreciate any opportunities, feedbacks and support. Thank you so much for watching our videos.

What's next for JOGO

As we had only short period of time and sudden occasions. If we had the chance for future improvement and continuation we would like to improve our codes and design and add in some ideas that we kept in out pocket such as make implementation of user daily plastic waste, online certificate for every donation and many others comming.
