Problem Statement:
Come up with creative solutions that would help aspiring techies like yourself to achieve one or more of the following:
- Determine individual career paths in the Tech industry
- Raise awareness of the tech jobs available
- Advertise themselves and clinch the aspired jobs in the Tech Industry
- Solutions can come in the form of software applications, sites, or any other feasible platforms.
Key Problems:
We looked to tackle the disconnect between university graduates and industries, regarding platforms used to look for jobs. Existing solutions do not have UI / UX that is attractive to younger generations. Therefore, there is a need to bridge the gap between an engaging user interface for younger generations and utility for recruiters and the industry
Design Considerations:
Job-seekers have a profile page linked to their account allowing them to present key details:
- Contact information
- CV upload
- Key skills Card-based swiping UI for job-seekers to help them quickly identify good jobs
Job cards are populated by recruiters and contain key information about open roles:
- Job Title
- Job Description
- Start Date
- Recruiter Contact information
- Key Skills Required
Recruiter - Job-Seeker Matching
Job seekers can swipe to indicate their preference for open roles. Swiping left dismisses the role while swiping right automatically indicates their preference for a role. Recruiters are presented with a list of candidates who have indicated a preference for their jobs. They can similarly swipe left and right to indicate their preference for candidates When a “match” is made, the recruiter and job-seeker are directed to a chat where they can further discuss the next stages of hiring.
