Coming from different backgrounds, we did not expect to have such a similar upbringing; an upbringing that actually ended up motivating our idea. Being immigrants who had difficult assimilating to the American culture, our parents did not have the same job opportunities as other Americans. Many of our families financially struggled, which made us also feel unequal in our financial backgrounds. In an attempt to prevent this issue and approach Challenge 1, we created a website that helps immigrants find jobs that accommodate for their language and cultural barriers. This benefits employers in finding employees, while helping immigrants have more of an equal foot in the job market.
