Unemployment is a challenge all across the world, especially for vulnerable populations. Jobora was created as a platform that matches job seekers with opportunities and provides skill-building resources.
What it does
Jobora is a comprehensive job search and skill analysis platform that helps users find relevant job opportunities and find resources for the skills needed for the role.
- Job Search: Browse and filter job listings with advanced search capabilities
- Skill Analysis: Analyze job descriptions to extract key technical requirements
- Learning Resources: Get curated learning resources for specific skills
- Job Tracking: Save and track favorite job listings
- User Authentication: Secure login and registration system
How we built it
- Front End - JavaScript, React, TailwindCSS
- Back End - Node.js, Express

- APIs - TheirStack, Groq
Challenges we ran into
Finding the right API to use in this project was especially challenging.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Most of us have not done web development before and this is our first time getting the chance to learn to develop a web app. We also have not had any experience leveraging AI into the application, so this was a fresh experience for all of us.
What we learned
We learned a lot, including the use of AIs, APIs, and developing a full stack website using React, Node, and MongoDB
