The modern job market is competitive, confusing, and constantly evolving. Many students and professionals struggle with unclear career paths, ineffective resumes, lack of interview preparation, and a growing skill gap. Inspired by these pain points—and my own experience mentoring thousands of individuals—I wanted to build a scalable, AI-powered solution that could provide personalized career guidance, 24/7.\ That’s how JobMentor.AI was born — a product that brings clarity, confidence, and career success through the power of AI.

JobMentor.AI is a smart, AI-powered platform that acts as a personal career coach by combining 9 specialized AI agents:

  • Career Clarity Agent – Guides users to identify their ideal career paths
  • Skill Gap Mapper Agent – Identifies missing skills and learning needs
  • AI Goal Planner Agent – Helps users set and track weekly/monthly career goals
  • Accountability Partner Agent – Sends reminders and progress nudges
  • SEO Keywords Optimizer – Enhances resume and profile discoverability
  • Mock Interview Agent – Provides realistic interview simulations
  • English Speaking Coach – Improves spoken communication and fluency
  • SWOT Analysis Agent – Offers a personal strategic career roadmap

🧱 How we built it

  • AI Backend: Powered by OpenAI’s GPT-4, integrated using prompt chaining and role-based instructions
  • UI/UX: Designed in Figma with a clean, professional look tailored for students and job seekers
  • Platform: Built using no-code tools like Bubble, Glide, and Zapier, ensuring rapid MVP launch
  • Data Layer: Leveraged structured Google Sheets + Notion databases for agent responses and task tracking

  • Automation: Used Make.com and custom scripts for seamless workflow between agents

    🧷️ Challenges we ran into

  • Managing token usage efficiently across multiple agents while maintaining quality

  • Creating a frictionless user flow that felt intuitive despite the tool being highly powerful

  • Designing for non-tech-savvy users, which required simplifying agent conversations and interface

  • Ensuring accurate skill gap mapping and job recommendations from user input

  • Coordinating different AI agents to behave like a unified product experience
