Inspiration
Our own job search experiences served as the primary inspiration for Joblify. We realized the need for a tool that could provide a more interactive and insightful way to understand and present our skills and qualifications.
What it does
Joblify is an innovative application that takes a resume as input, parses it, and then generates a radar graph of your skills. It provides a unique, visual representation of your abilities. Additionally, Joblify features an AI chatbot that users can interact with to ask questions related to their resume and skills. The chatbot, having access to your resume, can provide personalized responses and insights.
How we built it
We utilized advanced AI algorithms to parse resumes and generate skill graphs. The chatbot was built using state-of-the-art natural language processing techniques, enabling it to understand and respond to user queries effectively.
Challenges we ran into
Our main challenges were getting the AI working and styling the application, as these areas are not our forte. However, we managed to overcome these hurdles through persistent effort and learning.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are extremely proud of what we have achieved, especially considering that this is our first hackathon for most of our members. We successfully built a functional AI and designed an intuitive user interface, despite our initial challenges.
What we learned
This project provided us with valuable experience in AI and web development. We learned about various AI algorithms and gained hands-on experience in implementing them. We also improved our web development skills, particularly in designing user-friendly interfaces.
What's next for Joblify
The future for Joblify includes polishing the current features and adding new ones, such as job posting analysis. We believe these enhancements will make Joblify an even more powerful tool for job seekers. We’re excited about the potential impact of Joblify and look forward to its continued development.
