We got the inspiration from 2 refugees in our team who mentioned the difficulty of finding a job in France despite having a degree in their home country due to 3 reasons: 1) the level of French 2) their diplomas are not recognized in France 3) lack of working experience in France

What it does

We want to facilitates access to the job market by providing internships for qualified refugees

How I built it

With my team through discussions we clarified the idea, investigated competitors and developed our unique value proposition

Challenges I ran into

We ran into 2 main challenges:

  • Why companies would want to provide internship for refugees
  • You need a internship agreement (convention de stage) to do internships in France

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

We managed to solve these 2 challenges:

  • Companies can benefit from low cost and qualified labour for 6 months
  • For refugees that are not enrolled in a course we will find universities for them so that they could have the internship agreement

What I learned

  • Insights from refugees are critical, without the refugees in our team we would not be able to build a product tailored to their needs
  • It is important to build something simple, at first we wanted to suggest too many services that our value proposition was quite confused
