Inspiration
Job hunting is often chaotic and emotionally exhausting. Between resumes, follow-ups, and interview prep, it's easy to lose track of where you've applied, what stage you're in, and what needs attention. We wanted to create a tool that not only organizes job applications but also keeps job seekers focused, motivated, and confident throughout their journey.
What it does
Job Tracker Pro is a full-featured web app that helps job seekers: Log and categorize job applications in a kanban-style dashboard Track every job's interview rounds, including notes, resources, and statuses Access a dedicated detail page for each application with prep links and personal notes
How we built it
Frontend: HTML, Tailwind CSS, and Vanilla JavaScript UX Design: Clean, responsive layout with mobile support Built using just one shot prompt to bolt.
Challenges we ran into
Creating a detailed prompt such that it covers all aspects right from UI to the data model in localStorage was bit challenging, yet I enjoyed it.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Built a complete job tracking system in a single-page app with no backend Designed a modular structure where each job can have its own prep strategy and timeline. Made it accessible and easy-to-use for students, career switchers, and seasoned professionals alike
What we learned
The real power of a well crafted prompt to bolt. Simple tools done thoughtfully can replace clunky spreadsheets and help people feel in control of a stressful process.
