Inspiration
When trying to find a topic to create an app around, we all tried to find something in common. One thing was the struggle to find internships that matches us best, along with findings one we had a higher chance of getting an offer from.
What it does
The app will load a batch of internships for the user to swipe through. The user will swipe left to match with the internship, or swipe right if they think it isn't a match. It has a detailed filleting system that allows the user to select filters and input data that will allow the best matches.
How we built it
We started with designing a prototype in Figma, trying out different themes/styles for the app and how we wanted different features to appear. Then, we used the Vercel app to implement the code and make the app come to life.
Challenges we ran into
Often times the software was hard to use as it would crash and not save at times. It was also hard to communicate when implementing the code due to the differences in our schedules.
Accomplishments that we're proud of
We are proud of being able to make a prototype that others can interact with to show our vision for our app.
What we learned
We've learned the importance of designing prototypes before jumping straight into the real thing.
What's next for Job Swipe
We want to add more features that will benefit both the users and the companies, allowing both to be able to connect with each other more.
