I'm learning react from a few months and done a couple of short projects but never developed a project for a competition and never write a tutorial guide so it was an exciting challenge for me to do all of this for the first time. I want to convey my knowledge to the other people so i participated in this community challenge.

What it does

Its a simple job listing app in which user can post a job by adding the required details about the job and can also the filter the jobs from all the data and can check the details of the every job and can apply for that particular job

How I built it

I used these Major Tools and Tech for this project.

  • React JS
  • Material-UI
  • Firebase

I used functional components and hooks for all the functionality of the app.

Challenges I ran into

implementing the firebase cloud Firestore is a challenge for me as i never implemented firebase in a react app. so implementing firebase using hooks and managing all the data in local states is bit of challenging for me.

Accomplishments that I'm proud of

I'm able to submit the project on the given deadline although i faced a lot of challenges so its a proud moment for me.

What I learned

I learned how to implement a firebase in a react app. how to use queries on a firebase data. using hooks to store local state data

What's next for Job Listing

I will implement a user-authentication so user can log in and post and apply for the jobs.
