Inspiration

Even though linkedin exists, We see many of our family or people that we know constantly struggling to find the perfect job tailored for them due to the compelxity of existing websites that find jobs for you, so we decided to simplify everything.

What it does

Our Job finder lists a summary of each job on an overview page, and within each specific job page the skills required for the job, the salary for the job, and the content of the job are included, and right below that, you can apply for the job by filling out your details which will be sent to the company that has that specific job need(not functional yet, only filling out your details is functional and returning them.)

How we built it

We used HTML and CSS for all of the page. For the application part we had to use chatgpt in order to make the output and store the values(we modified the application.)

Challenges we ran into

At first we tried to use python as the backend in stackblitz, but it kept failing so we had to switch to javascript.

What we learned

How to get an html element in javascript with getElementByID adn add eventlisteners in javascript and show the output.

What's next for Job Finder

Adding more jobs and making the application more secure with more requirments, while also actually using a database, and mailto links to keep contact between an employer and an applicant.
