Job Fatality Profile is a data filtering app, allowing users to select an occupation and receive data on the rankings of events and exposures causing fatalities for the selected occupation. The users may select any event or exposure to learn how to protect themselves and others, or follow links directly to health and safety topics. The users are also able to post results to Facebook and Twitter.
Additional Features:
Facts. The targeted demographic will find "reasons to care" under the Faq tab based on statistics for fatalities and workplace injuries. The users are encouraged to stay aware of hazards, learn their rights, and speak up for themselves and others.
Inform. If users feel more comfortable sending an anonymous notification or suggestion to a leader or supervisor, the Inform tab allows them the opportunity to do so. If users need more information for filing a formal complaint, a link is available.
Links. Users can find resources to answer questions falling into four categories under the Links tab: Environment Health and Safety, Labor, Statistics and Data, and Young Workers.
News. By selecting the News tab, users will find recent news and events from OSHA.
