Inspiration
Enables Automatisation in Crafts-Industries and remove language barriers for migrant workforce.
What it does
JobBridge manages worker timetables, schedules new appointments with customers through a AI-based interface (e.g. phone call with AI), automatically generates reports of completed work and collects data for optimising business operations.
How we built it
We set up a node.js backend server and created an android app for technicians. This app collects data and send it to the backend for processing and report generation.
Challenges we ran into
Setting up the Backend in Google Cloud (locally it worked great, but accessing the API post-deployment was a challenge).
Accomplishments that we're proud of
Having modelled a complete business case (check link to presentation below)
What we learned
Have a backend server deployed before a Makeathon starts (so that no time is wasted setting it up, in our case almost 10 work hours(!)). Plan API and functions better
What's next for Job Bridge
JobBridge needs a ground up redesign phase considering future features. After that it is important to reach a MVP (scheduling software) quickly and already generate revenue. The next steps then are to implement data collection and analysis tool and then at last to add the customer facing AI backend for automated customer interactions (phone calls, emails, etc.)
