Inspiration

The critical shortage of skilled workers in essential trades like electricians, pilots, HVAC technicians, and plumbers is a growing concern for our economy. Our inspiration comes from personal experience: graduating from the military's Defense Language Institute in Mandarin Chinese was only possible through the power of spaced repetition flashcards. We realized that this highly effective learning method could be the key to rapidly upskilling workers across various industries, addressing the urgent need for qualified professionals.

What it does

JIT Learning leverages artificial intelligence to create highly curated, personalized learning content using spaced repetition techniques. Our platform automates the time-consuming process of creating flashcards and learning materials, making it possible to scale this powerful learning method across industries and educational institutions. By partnering with Learning Management Systems (LMS), defense organizations, universities, and trade schools, we're poised to upskill the next generation of workers efficiently and effectively.

How we built it

Our solution combines cutting-edge technologies to deliver a seamless learning experience:

  • Django: Backend framework for robust server-side operations
  • React: Frontend framework for an intuitive, responsive user interface
  • Kindo AI: Advanced AI capabilities for content generation and personalization
  • Llama Index: Efficient indexing and retrieval of learning materials

Challenges we ran into
