Our team was inspired by the need to streamline Jira support, reducing workload for the support team while ensuring users get fast, accurate answers—helping everyone work smarter and more efficiently.
What it does
The agent is one click away from getting you the help you need:
- you want to know how to close a JIRA project?
- you need access rights and don't know who to ask?
- the JIRA fields are invisible?
- the ticket is too long and you need a summary?
- you need a quick way to create a ticket in JIRA?
How we built it
- Platform: Built using Google Agent Space for seamless integration and scalability.
- Natural Language Processing (NLP): Configured to understand and respond to Jira-related queries accurately.
- API Integration: Connected with Jira documentation and knowledge bases for reliable information retrieval.
- Conversation Flow Optimization: Fine-tuned to ensure clear, efficient, and user-friendly support interactions.
Challenges we ran into
- we were not allowed to connect to Atlassian JIRA Confluence pages
- we needed to refine the prompt document so that we give clear directions on where to find the information
- we struggled with permission access on creating and editing JIRA tickets
Accomplishments that we're proud of
- We've set up Agentspace to seamlessly integrate with Jira, enabling automatic ticket generation.
- Pioneered functionalities within the agent to dynamically create and summarize JIRA tickets, driving a new level of efficiency in project management.
What we learned
- Connecting different tools can be tricky – we learned how to link the agent to JIRA and Google Drive, dealing with things like permissions and making sure the data stays in sync.
- Making the agent useful for users – we discovered how to make answers clear and helpful, so people get useful insights instead of just raw information.
- Handling large amounts of data smoothly – we worked on keeping the agent fast and efficient, even when dealing with lots of projects and details
